Morocco’s national team coach, Walid Regragui, has called up Toulouse striker Zakaria Aboukhlal to bolster the squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Gabon and Lesotho.
Aboukhlal’s addition to the squad comes after Villarreal midfielder Ilias Akhomach suffered a serious injury last weekend.
Medical examinations revealed that Akhomach sustained a double injury to his right knee, including a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament and a sprain of the medial collateral ligament.
