Moroccan hackers have been ranked as the most dangerous in North Africa, based on the 2024 Global Digital Fraud Index, compiled for the first time by the American security firm SumSub, reported Spanish daily La Razón.
The Iberian newspaper reports that Morocco topped the North African countries in the Global Digital Fraud Index with a global rating of 3.51 points, placing it third in Africa overall, behind Mauritius and Botswana.

The report also showed that Morocco scored 0.77 in the fraud rate index, 1.32 in resource access, 0.58 in government intervention, and 0.45 in economic stability.
Globally, Singapore, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Norway, and Denmark ranked as the countries with the most advanced cybersecurity protection and prevention systems.
Among Arab nations, Kuwait ranked 18th and Qatar 19th, leading the region in digital protection systems.
