Health workers in Morocco are gearing up for a two-day nationwide strike on November 7 – 8.
The strike, organized by the National Health Sector Union Coordination, is a response to the government’s failure to implement key reforms promised in a July 2024 agreement.
The union is particularly concerned about the government’s slow pace in addressing issues such as working conditions, salaries, and the preservation of public health services. They argue that these delays are compromising the quality of healthcare and the well-being of both healthcare workers and patients.
To amplify their demands, the union has planned a series of actions, including a press conference, a march to the Ministry of Health, and a boycott of non-urgent procedures.
