The government program “Forsa” has a coverage rate of 74% to date, indicated Thursday the Minister of Tourism, Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor.
Of the 21,158 projects financed to date, the program displays an “exceptional” coverage rate of 74%, with a particularly remarkable performance in certain regions, such as Guelmim-Oued Noun, Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab, Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, and the Oriental with coverage rates above 85%, Ammor stressed in a press release.
The program has also created 36,920 jobs to date, 44 percent of which are held by women, Ammor said at a post-funding follow-up meeting of the program, describing the impact as “significant.”
“This confirms the important role of the program in promoting entrepreneurship and, more generally, in developing employment for young people and women,” she added.
Furthermore, as part of the loan repayment process of the Forsa program, project leaders benefited from a 2-year deferral, she recalled, noting that nearly 1,200 project leaders have so far started to repay their installments according to the amortization tables initially agreed.
