Morocco failed to win against Brazil, who ran out comfortable 3-1 winners. The Atlas Lions fall at the semi-final stage of the World Cup in Uzbekistan.
Morocco started the match with difficulty in front of goal, allowing this weakness to benefit the Brazilian team, who opened the scoring in the 12th minute thanks to Marcelo, despite clear dominance on the part of the Moroccan players.
Hicham Dguig’s men continued to push forward in the first half, but were unable to get a real chance to equalize, before the opposition doubled the lead in the 18th minute with a goal from Leandro Lino.
The second half was equally fruitless for the Futsal Lions, who made numerous errors, allowing Brazil to break the deadlock in the 30th minute through Dyego. The national team saved their honour in the 34th minute with a goal from Boumezou.
Hicham Dguig’s men didn’t take too many risks and struggled to find solutions, failing to give the more tenacious Brazilians any doubts.
Morocco, for their part, were on target, but given the injuries and the energy left over from other matches, the team failed to surpass the 2021 edition, where they were also eliminated at this stage of the competition by the same Brazilian team.
