The Moroccan team’s third and final match of the World Cup took place at the Pascual-Guerrero Olympic Stadium in the Colombian city of Cali.
The Spanish team’s goals were scored by Nahia Aparicio in the 5th minute, and Lucia Moral in the 89th minute.
Right from the start of the match, the Spanish team put constant pressure on the Moroccan defensive wall, adopting an offensive strategy, largely facilitated by the individual strengths of its players and proven experience in this kind of competition.
Throughout the match, the Moroccan players tried to resist the repeated attacks of the Spanish, who won almost every duel.
However, goalkeeper Fatima El Jebraoui distinguished herself in the 65th minute by saving a penalty kick from Erika Gonzalez.
At the same time, in the other Group C match, Paraguay were crushed 7-0 by the USA, who accompany Spain to the Round of 16.
On the first day of the group phase, Morocco were beaten 2-0 by Paraguay, before losing by the same score to the USA.
