On Saturday evening, customs and police officers at the Bab Sebta crossing point foiled an attempt to traffic 22 kg of chira.

According to a customs source, this quantity of drugs had been carefully concealed in a double bottom located in the spare tire area of a Moroccan-registered vehicle driven by a Moroccan resident abroad (MRE) holding a French passport.

The suspect was handed over to the local police and will be transferred to the judicial police for further investigation, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
