Swedish referee Glenn Nayberg canceled the Argentine Olympic team’s goal against its Moroccan counterpart due to infiltration, after the resumption of the match for three minutes.
Two hours ago, the match stopped after Argentina scored a deadly equalizer (2-2) in the 16th minute of Wednesday’s extra time.
In front of 35,000 spectators, Morocco advanced a double for the AFC Champions League top scorer and champion Soufian Rahimi (45+2 and 51 of a penalty kick), and Argentina narrowed the gap via Giuliano Simé, the son of Spanish Atletico Madrid coach Diego, (68), before Christian Medina snatched the equaliser in the 16th minute of time instead of the lost time.
All reported that the match ended in a 2-2 draw, after Argentina scored a goal late in the 16th minute of the time instead of being lost, but the entry of the fans prompted the referee to stop it.
About two hours later, the referee canceled Argentina’s second goal on the grounds of infiltration after resorting to the assistant video referee (VAR) and decided to complete the remaining minutes of the match that ended with the victory of the Moroccan Olympic team.
