Meta’s Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram are down worldwide, leaving hundreds of thousands of users unable to access the social media platforms.
International media is reporting that the company’s internal systems were also down, potentially contributing to Tuesday’s outage.
The problems are affecting both the social media sites’ apps and websites.
According to DownDetector, which tracks online outages, more than 200,000 users in the Americas are experiencing issues with Facebook, while over 30,000 have reported problems with Instagram, and Messenger is facing a little over 8,000 reports.
