A Royal Navy patrol boat intercepted, on Thursday off the coast of Dakhla, a boat carrying 104 sub-Saharan would-be migrants, including 90 Malians, 7 Mauritanians, 3 Senegalese, 2 Ivorians and 2 Guineans.
The boat was heading to the Canary Islands, the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces said in a press release, adding that the rescued people received the necessary care before being handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures.
