A woman working for an unnamed a well-known Moroccan singer revealed new information that advanced the authorities’ investigation into the drug trafficking scandal involving Saïd Naciri, president of the Casablanca Wydad football club and the city’s prefectural council.

Naciri, a prominent figure in the political Party of Authenticity and Modernity (PAM) in Casablanca, was confronted by the National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ) during their investigation of the prosecution’s orders.

Naciri denied being present when the operation, which involved several tons of drugs, was coordinated in the artist’s villa in Rabat.

The investigations’ findings put Saïd Naciri in a precarious situation, which was exacerbated worse by multiple witnesses attesting to the claims made by the Malian drug lord known by the alias “Desert Escobar.”

According to the latter, Naciri saw drug trafficking coordination in 2013.

During the BNPJ interrogation, the well-known Moroccan artist stated that Saïd Naciri had visited her home and met her ex-husband, the drug baron, along with a third person. Interestingly, the cleaning lady confirmed her claim by stating that she had brought two bags and a suitcase, which had been placed in the basement per her employer’s husband’s instructions.

Saïd Naciri continued to deny any involvement, although the cleaning lady’s allegations corroborate what the desert Escobar had earlier said during his interrogation.

Additionally, investigations showed that Saïd Naciri was in constant communication with the Malian baron throughout the day, until his tardy arrival to the Rabat residence, thanks to listening in on phone calls.

The drug baron stated during his interrogation that he provided Saïd Naciri about 350,000 euros when he visited the property intending to supervise the trafficking operation involving 15 tons of “Chira” cocaine.

The case of Ahmed ben Ibrahim also referred to as the “Malian” or Escobar of the Desert, has garnered media attention for several reasons, notably due to the involvement of two well-known Moroccan figures: PAM’s Said Naciri and Abdennabi Biioui.
