Moroccan YouTube figure, Mohammed El Ghorabi known as “Nakhnoukh,” renowed as the nephew of the controversial content creator Nouredine El Ghorabi “Niba,” is now under legal scrutiny and is set to face judicial authorities in Marrakech as of today.
The charge against him pertains to the alleged crime of luring a minor. Local media sources have reported that Nakhnoukh was apprehended on New Year’s Eve following an extensive police investigation.
The incident unfolded after a family from Meknes reported the mysterious disappearance of their 16-year-old daughter, who had ceased communication.
Responding to the family’s complaint, law enforcement traced the missing teenager’s phone to discover her presence in Marrakech, where she was found in an apartment with Nakhnoukh.
In light of these developments, the public prosecutor at the Marrakech Court of Appeal ordered the YouTuber’s confinement in Oudaya prison pending further investigation.
The news surrounding Nakhnoukh’s arrest has sparked mixed reactions, with some expressing support for the legal action taken, while others cast blame on the minor involved for taking the trip from Meknes to Marrakech, explaining that she is to be held accountable for her actions and not the predator in question.
Nakhnoukh’s controversial uncle Niba, with almost two million followers on YouTube, helped him create content and continues to feature him in almost all of his videos.
However, this uncle’s name has always been paired with controversies, as he did go to jail before his YouTube fame.
His often was often mentioned in the viral “Hamza Mon Bebe” case, in which several Moroccan celebrity secrets were exposed.
Niba’s daughter was one of the victims of Hamza Mon Bebe, as personal information about her life was revealed and brought to the public eye.
Niba was always rooting against such crimes, which raises questions about his stance in his nephew’s case.
Even though the Hamza Mon Bebe case dates back a number of years, the investigation is still underway. Such instances take longer to handle than regular complaints since they are less regulated. Many Moroccan celebrities and influencers such as Nada Hassi, Nizar Sbiti, Kayda Ghita, Reda Wld Chinwia, Saida Charaf and Dounia Batma have been embroiled in controversy.
