Created under the auspices of the South-South relationship, the 7th edition of “Jazz sous l’Arganier” or Jazz under the Argan Tree promises to make Essaouira vibrate with African and jazzy sounds on its upcoming seventh edition.
Organized by the Essaouira Mogador Association, this edition will take place from December 27 to 29, in Dar Souiri, and will take advantage of the influx of tourists to offer high-quality concerts, making it a perfect opportunity to shine the spotlight on Essaouira at the end of the year.
On its first day, the festival is burning musical trio Driss El Maloumi, for a concert of soulful Oud music.
Afterwards, the event is bringing Diappa-zone, to play a mix of traditional Gnaoua songs.
On Thursday, the festival will feature performances by Othman El Khelloufi, mixing between electric music and jazz.
On the very last day, Jazz b’LOOZ promises a fusion between Jazz, Salsa, Swing, Gnaoua fusion and more.
The great Majid Bekkas will be the festival’s last act putting an end to three days of festivities.
