Gaia Energy announced on Monday, in partnership with FIT Voltaira Morocco, a company specializing in the manufacturing of automotive and e-bike cables, the inauguration of a 386.41 kWc photovoltaic plant located in the Tangier Med industrial platform.
The photovoltaic plant is expected to reduce FIT Voltaira Morocco’s greenhouse gas emissions, decrease energy costs, and enhance its competitiveness, according to a Gaia Energy press release.
“We are proud to have inaugurated this photovoltaic power plant today, which marks an important milestone in our commitment to the environment. We are confident that this installation will be beneficial both for our company and the local community,” stated Nabil Zerrouk, the managing director of FIT Voltaira Morocco.
“The realization of this project illustrates our strong commitment to the energy transition. We believe that every initiative in the renewable energy field matters and creates a positive impact on our environment,” said Zniber Moundir, President of Gia Energy.
Gia Energy Holding operates in the TAC (Tangier Automotive City) zone and is involved in the entire value chain of renewable energy projects, from development to maintenance, including financing and construction.
Gaia Energy, founded in 2009, is one of Africa’s leading developers of renewable energy projects. The company has projects totaling more than 6 GW in wind and solar photovoltaic energy in over 10 African countries.
Gaia Energy is also developing a pipeline of eight projects totaling 60 GW across the continent to transform renewable energy into green hydrogen and ammonia.
