Activity in the non-financial market services sector is expected to have risen in the second quarter 2023 (Q2-2023), according to Morocco’s Statistics office HCP. “In Q2 2023, activity in non-financial market services would have risen according to 65% of employers, and fallen according to 16%”, says the High Commission for Planning in a note on the results of business surveys of companies in the non-financial market services and wholesale trade sectors in Q3-2023.
This trend was the result, on the one hand, of the increase in activity recorded in the “Telecommunications”, “Land transport and pipeline transport” and “Accommodation and catering” branches, and, on the other, of the drop in activity recorded in the “Air transport” and “Post and courier activities” branches, the note points out, adding that the sector’s capacity utilization rate (CUR) stood at 80%.
