Around 50 individuals were arrested this Wednesday, July 26, in several Moroccan cities, as part of coordinated anti-terrorist operations.
21 of them were transferred to the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) and the National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ) for further investigation, security sources said.
Those arrested were identified through suspicious actions showing their “obedience to the extremist spirit of Daech and Al Qaeda”.
Searches of the homes of some of the defendants led to the seizure of edged weapons, jihad books and manuscripts, and explosives manufacturing guides.
