Swedish football legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced on Sunday that he will be departing from AC Milan and retiring from the sport.

At the age of 41, Zlatan is leaving Italy’s Serie A as the league’s oldest goal scorer.

Ibrahimovic made the announcement on Sunday, following Milan’s 3-1 victory over Hellas Verona.

“It’s time to say goodbye to football,” Ibrahimovic told fans at the San Siro stadium.
