Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem on Tuesday, under the protection of Israeli police, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
The settlers barged in through the Mughrabi Gate, the same source noted, adding that they performed “provocative” tours of the mosque’s courtyards where they also performed Talmudic rituals.
Israeli forces also prevented the person in charge of making the call to prayer from completing it on Monday night, under the pretext of settler celebrations in the courtyard of the Western Wall.
