A new Twilight TV adaptation is in early developments at the Lionsgate TV studio, Variety reported.
According to Variety’s sources, the series will be adapted from Stephanie Meyers’ Twilight Saga, which was previously adapted into a film franchise.
Released between 2008 and 2012, the Twilight movie franchise grossed a total of over USD3 billion at the global box office, and has garnered a cult following throughout the years.
The news of the Twilight series adaptation is the second example of a studio attempting to make a TV show out of books that had already been turned into popular film franchises.
Recently, Discovery announced its plans to adapt the popular Harry Potter movie franchise into a television series.
