The eagerly anticipated fourth film in the John Wick series has finally hit theaters, and both critics and viewers are raving about it.
The film starts with Keanu Reeves as a renowned assassin who must battle a new enemy who has strong affiliations around the world.
The movie is a continuation of the narrative that Chad Stahelski started with 2014’s John Wick, which introduced the world of The Continental, a secret network of hotels and services for professional killers.
The High Table, a council of criminal lords that rules the underworld, received more background in the sequel, John Wick: Chapter 2, which was published in 2017.
In the third movie, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, which was released in 2019, Wick was on the run after he violated The Continental’s rules and murdered a member of The High Table on its premises.
The fourth installment of the John Wick series starts up where the third movie left off, with Wick joining forces with his former partner Bowery King, played by Laurence Fishburne, to overthrow The High Table.
The movie has earned praise for its breathtaking action scenes, in which Reeves pulls off most of his own stunts.
Fans and critics alike called the movie the best out of all four parts.
