Former Disney star, singer, and actress Selena Gomez have a total of 398 million followers on Instagram, which officially makes her the most followed woman on the platform.
The artist dethroned the Instagram model and reality TV star Kylie Jenner who now has 381 million followers.
Despite previously announcing taking a social media break, Gomez went back to posting pictures on Instagram, with fun heartfelt captions, promoting her very successful makeup brand, Rare Beauty, and sharing fun moments with her friends and family.
Most recently, she shared behind-the-scenes pictures from the upcoming season of the dramatic mystery comedy, “Only murderers in the building,” unveiling that the “Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams will be starring by her side in the series.
She now holds the Guinness World Record for the most followed ‘female’ on Instagram.
Selena’s new record places her fourth overall for the most Instagram followers, trailing only Cristiano Ronaldo (559M), Leo Messi (440M), and Instagram’s own account (616M).
