In Kigali, Rwanda, CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe will present King Mohammed VI and President Paul Kagame of Rwanda with the CAF President’s Outstanding Achievement Award for the year 2022.
The ceremony, to be attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, CAF Executive Committee, CAF Member Association Presidents, and football icons, will be held on Tuesday, March 14, as announced today on the African confederation of football’s official page.
Last night, The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), dissatisfied with the rulings of the Disciplinary Council of the CAF regarding Morocco’s non-participation in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) organized in Algeria, decided to appeal these decisions, as said its president, Fouzi Lekjaa.
The appeal came in a letter sent by the FRMF to the CAF, referring to two essential points: the speech made by a person from outside the world of football, “which seriously undermines the principles that govern football competitions”, and the indignation of a section of Algerian fans against the Moroccan public, considered today to be “one of the best in the world”, specified FMRF’s president.
