The Mohammed VI Football Academy is organizing the 5th edition of its U19 International Tournament, from February 21 to 24.
This tournament will see the participation of Morocco’s Mohammed VI Football Academy, Fath Union Sport, Netherlands’ PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord Rotterdam, Real Madrid and Real Sociedad from Spain, Olympique de Marseille, France Olympique Lyonnais and Racing Club de Strasbourg, Generation Foot Academy from Senegal, Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht from Belgium and Scottish team Rangers FC.
The tournament will be played in four groups of three teams each, with the top two qualifying for the quarter-finals.
The creation of the Mohammed VI Football Academy, which has mobilized investments of around 140 million dirhams, is King Mohammed VI response to the sporting development in the country, and the development of football practice in particular.
Extending over an area of approximately 18 hectares, the Academy aims to contribute to the selection and training of high-level footballers, through an educational system combining sport and studies.
The Mohammed VI Football Academy was built and equipped according to the standards in force in world-class professional training centers, with the aim of developing Moroccan youth and providing them with the appropriate conditions for sports training, allowing them to evolve within the biggest football clubs in Morocco and beyond.
