The 10th annual First Festival and Professional Market for Music from Africa and the Middle East, Visa For Music, will take place in Rabat from November 22 to the 25. With this announcement, a call for applications for artists seeking to take part in and benefit from this new edition of VFM in 2023 was launched.
The idea for Visa For Music was inspired by the contrast between the significant energy of artistic production in Africa and the Middle East and the underrepresentation of those artists in the media.
This festival serves as a launching point for any artists and as a unifying event since it encourages networking opportunities, helps to increase their visibility, and helps them win the respect they merit.
The 10th edition of Visa for Music will be commemorated in a significant way. Live experiences have been available since 2014, followed by digital experiences in 2020, hybrid experiences in 2021, and full experiences in 2022.
A new format combining concerts, live conferences, and digital broadcasts will be available in 2023. In order to create the cultural heritage of the future in Africa and the Middle East, Visa for Music 2023 will serve as the standard.
This year, a jury made up of prominent figures in the arts and music will choose roughly thirty musicians and artists from Africa and the Middle East to perform at VFM in the city of lights.
