Moroccans are taking to social media to voice their frustration at the many problems that occurred during Gad Elmaleh’s show ticket sale.

Sold-out in a few hours, Elmaleh’s tour in Morocco has broken records.

The tickets for the five dates scheduled in Casablanca, Rabat and Marrakech on January 29, 30, 31 and February 3 and 4 were naturally a great success, causing a breakdown of exclusive ticket distributer platform “Tickets.ma”.

The breakdown was solved, but many fans were not able to get their tickets to see the world famous Moroccan comedian on stage.

In response, the Moroccan platform announced on Sunday, January 22 the programming of a new date in Rabat.

Although announced at the last minute, this new sale again causes again a breakdown.

As a result, tickets were put on sale on the black market at astronomical prices.

From MAD 250 for the Casablanca, MAD 320 in Rabat and Marrakech, the tickets are resold on the black market at MAD 2,000 to MAD 4,000.

Even the luckiest were finally surprised to learn that their ticket, although paid for, was not confirmed.

Ticket.ma was forced to send several messages to its customers to affirm that the purchased tickets were not confirmed in front of “a very important craze and a volume of purchase such as it is produced cases of overbooking.”

The platform announced the immediate refund, but it was not enough to calm the anger of those who eagerly await the show of the iconic comedian.
