Moroccan international Chadi Riyad, player of the Barcelona football team, has become one of the prospects of the “Catalan” defense, after Gerard Pique’s retirement.
Catalan newspaper “Sport” stated that Barcelona Head Coach Xavi Hernandez admires the capabilities of the Moroccan player, noting that he is one of the important defensive options that the coach of the “Blaugrana” can use in the upcoming matches.
The paper confirmed that Chadi Riyad is the fifth defender in the team in the axis, in addition to Araujo, Kounde, Eric Garcia and Christensen.
Riyad showed great potential in training, stressing that Xavi considers him the future player in Barcelona, especially since he is at the young age of 19.
The same source highlighted that Chadi Riyad has a suitable height as a defender (1.86), in addition to his fast movement and good control of the ball with his right and left feet.
