Karim Benzema announced his retirement from the French national team, a day after Les Bleus lost the World Cup final to Argentina.
The Real Madrid captain made the announcement on Twitter, coinciding with his 35th birthday.
“I have written my story, and ours is ending,” Benzema wrote.
