International Football Federation (FIFA) President Gianni Infantino said the federation’s goal is to provide inclusive and accessible infrastructure and services for all fans, including disabled fans and people with limited mobility.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino spoke at a special event focused on showcasing FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 accessibility features last month, added the federation’s press release.

“It is estimated that about 15% of the world’s population, or one billion people, experience some form of disability and that many others have specific access requirements,” he further stated.

FIFA president ensured ahead of the sporting event’s launch that the tournament is accessible for disabled people and people with limited mobility in order to guarantee inclusivity, according to the same source.
