Following the message of King Mohammed VI sent to the new President of the Republic of Kenya, William Ruto, the Republic of Kenya has decided Wednesday to revoke the recognition of the SADR and to start the closure steps of its representation in Nairobi.

“Out of respect for the principle of territorial integrity and non-interference, Kenya fully supports the serious and credible autonomy plan proposed by the Kingdom of Morocco, as the only solution based on Morocco’s territorial integrity, to resolve the dispute,” said the joint statement.
The Republic of Kenya also decided to open soon its embassy in Rabat.
The two countries have committed to reinforcing their bilateral diplomatic relations to the level of strategic partnership in the next six months, added the same source.
The two agreed to cooperate in economic, commercial, and social relations between the two countries, especially in the areas of fisheries and agriculture, and food security as well as fertilizer imports.
