The 2023 Finance Bill Draft is based on an economic growth rate of 4.5% in 2023, following an estimated growth rate of 1.5% in 2022, according to the 2023-2025 budget execution and macroeconomic framework report.
Through the implementation of the 2023 Finance Bill Draft, the economic growth should be 4.5% in 2023, while based on a set of assumptions on the national environment and elements of uncertainty that affect the evolution of the international situation, says the report.
These assumptions set, in particular, the cereal production at 75 million quintals, the price of butane gas at 700 dollars per ton, the dollar-dirham exchange rate at 9.8, and the foreign demand addressed to Morocco (excluding phosphate products and derivatives) at 4.5%, the report says.
