HBO’s (Home Box Office) long-awaited series House of The Dragon released its first episode. The show is a spinoff of Game of Thrones (GOT), based on the novel written by George R. R. Martin, Fire and Blood.
Released last night, the first episode of House of the Dragon tells the story of the House Targaryen, set 172 years before the events of Games of Throne. The fans were not disappointed by the episode and expressed so on social media such as Twitter, explaining their high hopes for the rest of the episodes to come.
The series is expected to have action scenes, a lot of adventure, controversial dramatic romance, and a lot of fantasy just like its precedent, GOT.
Fans complained on social media that HBO’s application was crashing while they were eagerly waiting to watch the highly anticipated first episode.
The production of House of The Dragon first began in April 2021, with filming primarily taking place in the United Kingdom. Some episodes were filmed in Spain and the United States.
This first season is expected to have 10 episodes.
Fire and Blood, the book behind the series, tells the history of House Targaryen, a ruling house of the Seven Kingdoms created by R. R. Martin in his series A Song of Ice and Fire.
