The Royal Moroccan Football Federation officially announced on Thursday the end of Vahid Halilhodzic’s contract with the national team by mutual consent.
“Given the differences and divergent visions between the FRMF and the coach on the best way to prepare the national football team for the upcoming 2022 Qatar World Cup, the two parties decided to terminate the contract,” said the Federation in the press release.
“The FRMF expressed its gratitude for the French-Bosnian coach during his career with the national team, also for the qualification for the 2022 Qatar World Cup,” added the same source.
Halilhodzic also wished the best of luck to the Moroccan national team for the upcoming sporting event.
Hesport sources confirmed that the French-Bosnian coach arrived in Morocco on Tuesday, where he met with the FRMF’s treasurer, relaying the federation’s decision.
