Former U.S president, Donald Trump claimed on Monday night that the FBI conducted a raid at his Palm Beach, Florida, resort home, Mar-a-Lago.
In a lengthy statement, Trump claimed that a sizable number of FBI agents were currently occupying his home and conducting a raid.
Trump claimed that the raid was “unannounced.” “They even broke into my safe!” he said.
The search was connected to a Justice Department investigation into possible legal violations after 15 boxes of White House records, including some records marked as classified, ended up at Mar-a-Lago rather than the National Archives, according to NBC News and other U.S media outlets.
