The United States on Friday hailed Canada’s decision to ban from its 5G network China’s Huawei, which Washington has long argued presents security risks.
“We welcome Canada’s decision. The United States supports efforts to ensure countries, companies and citizens can trust their wireless networks and their operators,” a State Department spokesperson said.
