Director-General of National Security Abdellatif Hammouchi ordered the temporary suspension of two police officers working at Marrakech-Menara International Airport, a police inspector and chief lieutenant colonel over suspicions of their involvement in a criminal network.

The regional division of the Judicial Police in Marrakesh had referred 8 persons involved in the case to the Public prosecutor. They are suspected of organizing irregular migration and using forged French identity documents.

Judicial Police kept the police employees under custody pending investigations.
