The US said on Monday that it will reopen its Embassy in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv soon.
This move came after both Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Defense secretary Lloyd Austin visited Ukraine and noticed its success in overcoming the Russian offensive.
Those US officials announced during the visit that they provided new assistance worth $713 million to Ukraine and other countries in the region, bringing up total aid to about $3.7 billion since the Russian offensive began on February 24.
The US aid also included military equipment, such as weapons, anti-missile, and anti-craft systems.
The US is not the first country to decide on reopening the embassy in the Eastern European country, while also the UK and Italy announced recently the resumption of their diplomatic representative offices.
