Morocco opened the new headquarters of its Consulate General in Rome- Italy, according to the Italian news outlet, Giornale Diplomatico.
Moroccan Ambassador to Italy Youssef Balla reportedly said during the inauguration of the new headquarters of the consular mission’s goal, is to serve the Moroccan community in Italy and Italian citizens.
The Moroccan ambassador to Italy has further vowed to deepen ties between Rabat and Rome.
Many diplomats and politicians attended the event such as; Moroccan-born Italian politician Souad Sbai, and president of the Confederation of the Moroccan Community Leila Maher.
Last year, Morocco and Italy celebrated the 30-year anniversary of their bilateral relations.
