Prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation were the focus of a meeting between Morocco’s ambassador to Mexico and Belize, Abdelfattah Lebbar, and president of the Senate of Belize, Carolyn Trench-Sandiford.
During this virtual meeting, held recently, Trench-Sandiford expressed the willingness of her country to develop and strengthen its relations with Morocco, to benefit from the experience of the Kingdom in many sectors.
According to a statement from by Embassy of the Kingdom in Mexico City, the official of this Central American country said she intends to travel to Morocco to take part in the Africa-Latin America Parliamentary Forum, ensuring that this visit “is likely to open new opportunities for cooperation between the two friendly countries”.
This trip will also contribute, she added, to “open a new page in relations between Morocco and Belize, and establish a roadmap for future cooperation in many areas and issues of common interest”.
Trench-Sandiford took this opportunity, according to the same source, to express her gratitude to the House of Advisors for its invitation to participate in this important regional forum that aims to promote the dynamics of South-South cooperation.
