Prime Minister of the Canadian province of Quebec, Francois Legault, announced new changes that aim to ease the precautionary COVID-19 measures, which had been implemented since Christmas.

This easing decision came after the epidemiological situation in the province improved, including a noticeable decrease in hospitalization cases because of its management of the current wave of the pandemic.

Quebec’s Prime Minister announced during the press conference that starting from next Monday, restaurants will be allowed to open their doors to customers and adhere to filling only 50% of their capacity, as well as allowing customers to sit at the same table, provided that the number does not exceed four.

Additionally, it is necessary to provide a vaccination pass before accessing the restaurant.

As for physical activities, children under 18 are allowed to exercise, provided that the number of people in teams does not exceed 25 people.

However, worship places, cinemas, theaters, and art places will have to wait until next February 7 in order to open their doors to the public, provided that the number of people in places of worship does not exceed 250, and 500 in theaters, according to what was announced by the Canadian government official.
