Morocco defeated this Friday Comoros with a 2-0 win during the second Group C matchday for the African Cup of Nations (CAN).
In the first half, Selim Amallah scored the first goal at 16,’ assisted by the international defender Ayoub El Kaabi.
In the second half, Zakaria Aboukhlal scored another goal at 89’ verified by VAR, guaranteeing Morocco’s victory.
The African Cup of Nations (CAN) has begun on January 9, and will last until February 6.
Morocco is expected to face Gabon next, as the last Group C country’s competition, set to take place on January 18.
In the first CAN game with Group C, the national team defeated Ghana with a 1-0 win, with Sofiane Boufal scoring the national team’s victory goal.
In terms of playoffs, Morocco leads the ranking of Group C with a total of 6 points, ahead of Gabon and Ghana with 3 points, and then Comoros with no points.
