The growth outlook for 2022 is favorable and the national economy is expected to grow by 3.2% this year, according to data from the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Under the effect, more particularly, of the improvement of non-agricultural value-added and the assumption of an average agricultural campaign, the growth outlook this year looks favorable and the national economy should progress by 3.2% in 2022, the ministry pointed out.

In 2021, the national economy should record a rebound in the gross domestic product (GDP), in volume, exceeding 6%, according to the same source.

After a recession of 6.3% in 2020, the national economic activity has shown, during 2021, a gradual and significant recovery thanks to the progress recorded in vaccination against the COVID-19 pandemic, the very positive results of the agricultural campaign, and the good performance of some sectors.
