French health authorities approved earlier this week the use of AstraZeneca’s antibody treatment for high-risk people.

Independent public health body has given the “green light for the preventive use of Evusheld… for patients with a very high risk of contracting a severe form of Covid-19,” French media reported.

Recent clinical trials showed Evusheld recipients at increased risk of severe COVID-19 infection saw a 77% reduced risk of developing COVID-19.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) also granted an Emergency Use Authorization to AstraZeneca’s Evusheld for COVID-19 in certain adults and populations with compromised immune systems.
