The Anouar Association for Development and Solidarity is organizing an art workshop for children starting November 17 to 18, in Ait Faska, Marrakech, aiming to help them out from their mental issues while producing art.
The event will be held in partnership with the plastic and ceramic artist, Rajae Saiss, under the theme “Spontaneous Art,” according to the press release.
Mohamed Dekkak, the president of the Anouar Association said “this art workshop will be more significant with the participation of children with special needs.”
“I believe that each one of us, especially children, own within them a hidden artist that needs to be awakened,” the president of the association said, adding, “Through this workshop, we will be able to help these children and teach them, so that they can use art as a means to express themselves,” he added.
“I used to teach art to children with mental disabilities since 2003,” the plastic and ceramic artist Rajae Saiss said, adding, “These children have a special place in my heart, and I believe that they have a special affinity with art,” she added.
The artist said the workshop will help them harness their creative minds, and produce art full of meaning and uniqueness.
This association has previously organized several programs and projects related to healthcare, livelihood, and education for the well-being and development of the community in Ait Faska, aiming to reduce disparities.
“We are pleased to open our doors and welcome children to this event,” the press release concluded.
