Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, Aouatif Hayar, met, Friday in Rabat, with a Colombian delegation led by Vice President and Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Colombia, Marta Lucia Ramírez.
During this meeting, the two sides discussed ways to work together to develop cooperation in the social field and ensure the achievement of social and sustainable development for the benefit of future generations, through the improvement of the standard of living of citizens, with particular emphasis on the promotion of women’s rights and a healthy environment based on the principle of equal opportunity, said a statement by the Ministry.
The Colombian official welcomed Morocco’s development in several areas which makes it a model partner, notably in renewable energy, technology, promotion of women’s rights, expressing the interest of her country to exchange expertise in all these areas.
Ramirez reviewed the experience of her country in the social field which has many similarities with the Moroccan social fabric in many respects, expressing the full readiness of Colombia to share its experiences and successful and efficient approaches between the two countries.
