The Moroccan national football team fell by one position, as it ranked 33 with 1,493 points in the international teams classification issued by the International Football Association FIFA.

The Moroccan team came in third place after Tunisia and Algeria, where the Atlas Lions ranked fourth behind Senegal in the 20th place, Tunisia in the 25th place and Algeria in the 30th place.

The Libyan team made the biggest leap in this classification by reaching 110th place, after it was ranked 122nd at the international level, thanks to its recent victory over Gabon and Angola in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

While Belgium was the first and Brazil the second continue to lead the way, there is a new face on the podium.

Following mixed results in Qatar 2022 qualifying this month two draws and a win, France(4,- 1) drop out of the top 3, allowing England (3, +1) to take their place courtesy of two wins and a draw, some nine years since it last appeared on the top 3, according to the official website of FIFA.

Fifa posted on twitter that “Belgium’s reign continues, England leap from France and Libya the biggest climbers.”
