The Kawkab of Marrakech (KACM) won the national women’s basketball championship for the 2020-2021 season, beating the CODM of Meknes by a score of 79-60 in the final played on Saturday at the Fathallah El-Bouazzaoui hall in Sale.
AS FAR finished third following their victory over FUS Rabat (55-45) at the end of the classification match, which was played earlier in the day.
The Kawkab of Marrakech (KACM) thus achieved the double after winning the Throne Cup (2020-2021) against AS FAR (76-50) last Wednesday.
AS FAR is the most successful club in the Throne Cup, won 11 times by the military in 1987, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2016.
The Kawkab Athletic Club of Marrakech, more commonly abbreviated as Kawkab Marrakech, is a Moroccan club founded in 1947 and based in the city of Marrakech.
With nine titles, KACM is the 5th most successful club in the country, after Wydad AC, ASFAR Rabat, Raja of Casablanca, and MAS of Fes.
