Morocco will face isolated thunderstorms on Sunday and Monday after largely stable weather on Saturday, while temperatures could reach 45°C in southeastern and southern provinces, the General Directorate of Meteorology said.
Saturday will remain mostly sunny nationwide, with highs of 40°C to 45°C in the southeast and eastern and southern Saharan provinces, spokesperson Lhoussine Youabed said. Strong winds may raise dust in those areas.
Temperatures will range from 32°C to 36°C in the Oriental region, Moulouya Valley, Saiss, Tadla, Rhamna and inland Souss, and from 20°C to 32°C elsewhere.
Unstable clouds may bring local showers and thunderstorms to the Oriental region, Middle Atlas and its eastern slopes on Sunday.
Isolated thunderstorms could persist Monday over the Middle and High Atlas and the far south. Low clouds, fog or drizzle are expected along the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts.
