Diesel prices rose by 0.65 dirham per liter across Moroccan service stations early Monday, while gasoline prices fell by 0.30 dirham, according to industry sources.
The adjustment took effect shortly before midnight on August 16 and was applied by major fuel distributors.
Diesel now costs about 14.95 dirhams per liter, up from approximately 14.30 dirhams. Gasoline declined from about 15.24 dirhams to 14.94 dirhams, bringing the two fuels to nearly identical levels.
The change follows an increase of about one dirham per liter for both fuels in early August. Distributors also raised diesel prices by approximately 0.70 dirham and gasoline by 0.38 dirham in mid-July.
The Transport and Logistics Ministry last week opened an additional round of direct financial support for passenger and freight transport operators covering the first half of August.
