RS Berkane has officially appointed Portuguese coach Pedro Brito, better known as Bubista, as head coach of the club’s first team on a two-year contract, the Moroccan side announced on Monday.

In a statement, the Orange Boys said the appointment forms part of the club’s long-term sporting project and reflects its ambition to strengthen its competitiveness in both domestic and continental competitions.

The club highlighted Bubista’s technical expertise and experience in international football, particularly in Africa, while emphasizing its commitment to promoting young talent and integrating emerging players into the first team.

“RS Berkane wishes its new coach every success in leading the team, achieving its sporting objectives, and bringing joy to the club’s supporters during the coming seasons,” the statement said.

Bubista joins Berkane after a successful spell with Cape Verde’s national team, where he earned praise for guiding the Blue Sharks to competitive performances on the continental stage.

The move marks a significant transition in the Portuguese coach’s career, as he shifts from international football to club management, where he will face the demands of daily training, squad management, and competing across multiple domestic and continental tournaments.

He will also be tasked with maintaining the competitive identity that has defined RS Berkane in recent years while implementing his own tactical philosophy without disrupting the stability that has made the club one of Morocco’s most consistent performers.
