Saturday 20 June 2026 - 11:13

Hot weather is forecast across large parts of inland Morocco on Saturday, while localized thunderstorms may bring rain to the east and the Middle Atlas, the General Directorate of Meteorology said.

High temperatures are expected in the southeast, the eastern and southern Saharan provinces, the Oriental region, Saiss, inland Gharb, Tadla and Rhamna.

Dense low clouds may form along the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts and over the northwestern Saharan provinces, bringing fog or very light rain.

Moderately strong winds are also forecast around Tangier, eastern Morocco and the southern provinces, with localized dust expected.

Overnight temperatures will range from 9 to 15 degrees Celsius in the Atlas and Rif, rising to between 25 and 29 degrees in the eastern Oriental region and southern Saharan provinces.

Daytime temperatures are expected to rise across most of the country. Seas will be calm to rough, with the strongest conditions south of Boujdour.
